Thank you for your interest in Penn Violence Prevention's 2025 Anti-Violence Advocates (AVA) training! If you would like to be notified when the AVA dates and registration are released, please provide your information below. If you have any questions, please email Elise Scioscia at escios01@upenn.edu.
AVA training is designed to educate Penn staff and faculty on the dynamics of relationship violence, sexual harassment, sexual violence, and stalking, and the resources available on campus, to better advise and support students. The training will include interactive sessions and presenters from campus resources.
AVA intends to provide foundational knowledge about violence, build a supportive community, and collectively shift how we think about violence and harm. Individuals who complete the full training will receive a certificate of completion and can choose to be identified as AVAs so that students know where they can find effective and safe support.
Completing AVA does not make one a confidential resource for students, or fulfill any University training requirements for employees related to campus policies, Title IX, or the Clery Act. Past participants should consider registering if you have not attended in the past three years.
