Do you Know a Penn Undergraduate who would make a Great tutor?
- Qualification: Minimum of B+ in course (Nursing A-), Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and willingness to complete training + 3-hour weekly time commitment.
- What makes a great tutor?
- Great Interpersonal Skills: Tutoring requires the ability to connect with fellow students and make them feel comfortable in the learning space.
- Strong Content Knowledge: This doesn’t always mean having the best grade in the class! Students who struggled but worked hard to succeed can empathize with their students.
- Desire to Help Peers: Asking for help can be hard. We hope to hire students who understand this and hope to support fellow students in navigating the landscape.
- Professionalism: Our tutors should be reliable and dedicated to their commitments so that their students can count on them.
Please note, that this form does not guarantee that the student will be hired; it will serve as a way to identify possible tutors!
