Thank you for your interest in the Student Wellness Advisory Group!

The mission of Wellness at Penn is to infuse wellness across the eight domains (Physical, Emotional, Social, Intellectual, Environmental, Financial, Occupational, Spiritual) throughout the Penn experience through inclusive, innovative, and impactful initiatives. Our core values are grounded in collaborative CARE (Compassion, Accessibility, Respect, Empowerment) and fuel everything we do.

The Student Wellness Advisory Group’s mission is to function as liaisons to Wellness regarding the health and wellbeing of Penn students. SWAG works closely with Wellness staff members in pursuit of a Healthy Penn by providing student feedback on Wellness services, communications, policies, and programs. SWAG members are expected to engage in an informal communication process throughout the academic year for feedback on more pressing issues and projects.

SWAG membership is open to all students, full or part-time, who have an interest in advocating for the health and wellness of their campus community. Monthly meetings will begin in Spring 2025 and will be in person on Friday afternoons from 12:00-1:30pm. Failure to attend meetings, failure to participate in email discussions, and/or failure to participate in projects are grounds for dismissal from the group. SWAG is advised by the Public Health and Wellbeing’s Director of Public Health and Wellness at Penn’s Director of Communications, with oversight from other leaders within Wellness at Penn.
Below you will find the application for SWAG. The deadline for the application is 5pm on Friday, January 17th to Rebecca Huxta (rhuxta@upenn.edu).
