The Latin American and Latinx Studies Program will grant at least eight LALS External Speaker (LALSES) series grants (ranging from $300 up to $1500) to cover the costs of hosting an in-person or virtual course speaker/guest in one of our LALS cross-listed courses to be taught in Fall 2021 or Spring 2022. 

Please note that cross-listing of your course with LALS is required to be eligible for this grant. If you haven’t yet cross-listed your course for Fall 2021 or Spring 2022 and would like to do so, please contact our Associate Director, Catherine Bartch at lals@sas.upenn.edu

If we receive many more applications than the number of grants we can allocate, we will prioritize applications from LALS-affiliated Assistant Professors.
